Name a park
The community is invited to submit ideas for the name of a new 24-acre park in the Menomonee Valley in Milwaukee. The park is being created on a former rail yard east of Miller Park beneath the 35th and 27th Street Viaducts. People can submit suggestions at www.renewthevalley.org through Friday, March 22.

South Milwaukee news
The owners of Grant Park Plaza in South Milwaukee plan to sell a portion of the property, which includes a Pick ‘n Save store, to Cole REIT Advisors III LLC, according to South Milwaukee Ald. Erik Brooks’ blog.
Brooks also reports on his blog that the South Milwaukee Walmart store, under construction at 222 N. Chicago Ave., will open on April 10.
Also in South Milwaukee: Dollar General plans to expand its store at 1105 Marquette Ave. from 8,000 to 15,000 square feet of space and McDonald’s plans to remodel its store at 2715 S. Chicago Ave.

Greenfield news
Metropolitan Associates plans to tear down the vacant former Chocolate House buildings at 4121 S. 35th St. and 3645 Loomis Road to build two 30-unit apartment buildings, each three stories tall with underground parking and connected to a community/exercise/business center area.
John and Jen Mosier plan to open a Daddy-Yo’s Frozen Yogurt shop at 4874 S. 74th St. in the Greenfield Place Shopping Center.

Waukesha news
MSP Development Co. plans to build a 70-unit apartment complex ana 36-unit memory care facility along the west side of Meadow Lane and north of the terminus of Wildwood Drive.

Franklin news
TDI Associates Inc. plans to build a 42-unit apartment development at South 60th Street and West Ryan Road.
