Derse Inc.’s corporate headquarters, located in the Menomonee Valley, recently received LEED Silver Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, becoming the first industrial building in the City of Milwaukee to achieve this certification. Milwaukee-based Eppstein Uhen Architects served as the design architect and LEED administrator for the 160,000-square-foot facility, which includes office space, a production facility and warehousing. Glendale-based HSI Development Partners developed and owns the property.
Architect William P. Wenzler, FAIA, Milwaukee, has been chosen to receive the 2009 “Golden Award” from AIA Wisconsin, the state society of The American Institute of Architects (AIA). The Golden Award is the highest honor the state architects’ society can bestow upon a member architect.
The interior design for the expanded headquarters of New Berlin-based J.W. Winco Inc. recently received a bronze award from the Wisconsin chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers. J.W. Winco hired Milwaukee-based Creative Business Interiors to design the 9,000-square-foot expansion, integrating it into an adjoining 6,000-square-foot office space.
