Press Club extends deadline for ‘Milwaukee Made’ contest

Organizations:

The Milwaukee Press Club will continue to accept nominations through Friday for a contest it is holding in honor of the City of Milwaukee’s 169th birthday party.

The theme for this year’s celebration is “Milwaukee Made,” which salutes “the products, people and places” that define Milwaukee, according to the Press Club.

The contest being held in conjunction with the party seeks nominations in three categories: Who, what and which places best define the city?

Nominations can be submitted online. Finalists will then be featured on the City Birthday Party’s Facebook page, where the general public can cast votes for the winners.

The Press Club will announce the winners on Monday, Jan. 19, and recognize them at the birthday party, which is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 29, at the Grain Exchange in downtown Milwaukee.
