It didn’t rain, but it poured for more than 1,000 estimated guests at the new Wollersheim Winery’s Distillery on Aug. 15, only a year and ten days after ground was broken for construction in Prairie du Sac.
Elbows of the servers stayed pointed at the ceilings as reddish gold streams of apple brandy fell into small shot glasses for the long lines of samplers waiting for a taste.
