The Brookfield office of the Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership, Madison, hired Andrew Porter, Mike Schmitt and Brad Basten as manufacturing specialists. Porter has more than 18 years of consulting experience in the electronics, aerospace, metals, assembly and process industries. Schmitt has more than 30 years of experience in materials management and supplier development. Basten has more than 20 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer.
George Schulz joined Bloom Consultants, Milwaukee, as senior transportation engineer in the infrastructure services division. Schulz has more than 17 years of experience in project management and traffic engineering. He most recently worked for HNTB, Kansas City, Mo.
Milwaukee Public Radio, 89.7 WUWM, Milwaukee, hired Maureen Allen as manager of finance and administration, Dan Gille as an underwriting account representative and Cynthia Akey as a marketing specialist. Prior to joining Milwaukee Public Radio, Allen served as branch manager for Symbol Technologies, Holtsville, N.Y. Gille has more than 20 years of sales experience. Akey has more than 13 years of graphic design and marketing experience.
Marsha Mather, owner and president of Laacke & Joys, Milwaukee, joined the executive committee for the board of directors of Women for MACC, Milwaukee. Mather will serve as the corresponding secretary. Lori Olson, a regional supervisor for Westbrook Management, Milwaukee; Lynn Reynolds of The Stefaniak Group, Greenfield, and Cheryl Sykora, an office manager at Concept Technical Group, Menomonee Falls, joined the board of directors. Olson will serve as the general meetings coordinator and Sykora will serve as the nomination director.

Marion Heinz joined Rogers Memorial Hospital, Milwaukee, as the executive director of the RMH Foundation. Heinz has served as a consultant to the RMH capital campaign for the past three years. She currently serves as president of the Wisconsin Association of Lutheran Development Executives, Milwaukee.
Michael Nowack joined Robert W. Baird, Milwaukee, as a financial advisor for The O’Meara Group, West Bend. Nowack has more than 12 years of business management experience. He holds a bachelor’s degree in aeronautics and a master’s degree in business administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Allison Hanson joined R&R Insurance Services, Waukesha, as a worker’s compensation specialist in the Commercial Resource Center. Hanson has more than seven years of experience in the insurance industry and most recently served as a senior worker’s compensation claims representative for United Heartland, New Berlin.
Delzer Lithograph Company, Waukesha, hired John Limbach in digital sales, Jeff Delzer as digital print production manager and Chris Bronson as fulfillment manager. Limbach most recently worked for Proven Direct, Menomonee Falls. Delzer previously served as an art handler for the Icon Group, Chicago. Bronson most recently worked for Target, Minneapolis.
Openfirst, Milwaukee, promoted Allen Sparks to director of information technology and James Leverenz to assistant director of information technology. Sparks has been with Openfirst since 1997 and Leverenz since 1998.

Dr. Michael White joined the board of directors for Community Health Care Services, the parent corporation for Community Memorial Hospital of Menomonee Falls. White specializes in family practice and has been in private practice in Germantown since 1988. He joined the medical staff of Community Memorial Hospital since 1989 and served as the medical staff president from 1997 to 2000.
Dr. Steven Weisman of the Medical College of Wisconsin, Wauwatosa, will serve as chairman of the special interest group in pain in infant, children and adolescents for the American Pain Society. Weisman serves as a professor of anesthesiology and professor of pediatrics at the Medical College and as director of the Jane B. Pettit Pain and Palliative Care Center at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Wauwatosa.
The Marcus Corp., Milwaukee, promoted Karen Spindler to corporate director of human resources. Spindler most recently served as vice president of human resources for Marcus Hotels and Resorts, which she joined in 2001. Prior to joining Marcus, Spindler worked for Global Hyatt, Chicago for 15 years.
John Wandschneider joined the board of directors of Community Memorial Foundation, Menomonee Falls. Wandschneider recently retired from the Menomonee Falls Chamber of Commerce and serves as a professor of management at Concordia University, Mequon and Cardinal Stritch University, Milwaukee.
Dawn Zak joined the Milwaukee Mental Health Association as a community outreach coordinator. Zak most recently served as an outpatient alcohol and drug abuse counselor, a case manager and as an educator for the Ozaukee County Counseling Center, Port Washington. She holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
