Platypus Advertising and Design, Pewaukee, recently added Steve Kabelowsky as a content strategist. Kabelowsky was formerly with WISN-TV Channel 12 in Milwaukee. His primary focus was WISN.com and other digital media sources.
Arts & Entertainment
The Milwaukee Ballet Company announced that Michael Pink, artistic director, has agreed to serve in his position for an additional five years. Pink has been the Ballet’s artistic director since late 2002.
Banking & Finance
First Business Bank-Milwaukee promoted Lynn Sigfred to vice president. She has more than 20 years of customer service, sales, and management experience. She also has four years of experience in the financial services industry.
North Milwaukee State Bank president Erbert Johnson was recently elected to the board of the National Bankers Association. Johnson has been president of the bank for nearly three years. Patricia Matthews, who has worked for the bank for 15 years, was promoted to chief administrative officer. Cris Flowers was elected as internal auditor compliance officer by the bank’s board. Gulbaz Gill has joined North Milwaukee State Bank as a new commercial lender and officer.
Waukesha State Bank promoted Justin Cobb to bank manager of its Pewaukee office on Silvernail Road. Cobb started working for the bank in February as a teller, and joined the Silvernail Road office shortly thereafter, where he was promoted to teller supervisor and personal banker.
Design
Danielle East an interior designer with Creative Business Interiors, Inc., West Allis, has passed the LEED AP ID+C exam administered by the Green Building Certification Institute. This credential recognizes building and design industry professionals who have proven an understanding of green building techniques.
Health Care
Anne Jurenec was recently named chief executive officer of ProHealth Care’s Rehabilitation Hospital of Wisconsin in Waukesha. She has formerly served as manager of Rehabilitation Services at Columbia St. Mary’s Hosptial and also served as director of the Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Institute.
Extendicare Health Services Inc. added Jessica Adkins to its contract services department as general accountant; Leslie Spiece to its IT department as a project manager; and Sandra Schulte and Aquashantina Young to its accounts receivable department as a Medicaid billing coordinator and an insurance billing analyst, respectively. Ryan Kautzer was hired as a service desk technical analyst at Virtual Care Provider Inc., a subsidiary of Extendicare.
Hospitality & Entertainment
Sheboygan Highland House Restaurant and Bar has named Dennis Radtke as general manager. He has more than 23 years of hospitality management experience and was formerly co-owner of Urbane Restaurant in Sheboygan and also served as a city alderman.
Milwaukee-based Lowlands Group, formerly Diablos Rojos, has added Chef David Spirito as its new culinary director. Spirito played an integral part in developing Trocadero’s new menu and is currently developing the menu for Café Benelux, set to open in the Third Ward in April 2011.

Milwaukee-based Foley & Lardner LLP announced that Lloyd Dickinson, partner in the firm’s Milwaukee office, has been named Best Lawyers’ 2011 Employee Benefits Lawyer of the Year and John Callan, partner has been named Best Lawyers’ 2011 Milwaukee Trusts and Estates Lawyer of the Year. In addition, 27 Milwaukee office attorneys have been named to the 2010 Wisconsin “Super Lawyers” list by Law & Politics Media, Inc. The March of Dimes Wisconsin Chapter has added Candice Melter as its new community director for the Milwaukee Division. Melter will plan and organize a variety of fundraising events within the chapter incuding the Racine March for Babies on April 23, 2011, and the Drive for Babies event taking place in the fall of 2011 at the Road America race track in Elkhart Lake.

BuySeasons Inc., New Berlin, recently named Daniel Haight, president and chief executive officer of the company. He will succeed Jalem Gaetz who recently announced his resignation. Haight has been the chief operating officer of the company for the last six years. Terry Rowinski has been promoted to chief operating officer. He has been with BuySeasons for just over two years and previously served as vice president of operations.
