Gaylene Stingl, and principal of SVA Certified Public Accountants S.C.’s Milwaukee office, was recently appointed to the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP) Board of Directors. Stingl has experience advising clients in the financial aspects of divorce in the collaborative process. She is a member of the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin, a founding member of the CFLCW Training Team and has assisted in developing the IACP Curriculum.

Milwaukee-based Komisar Brady & Co. LLP has hired Morgan Wick as a staff accountant in the audit department and also announced that Jeff Lesiecki has joined the firm’s IT department in the PC Support and Helpdesk area. Lesiecki has more than 10 years of IT experience.

Social business agency 7Summits, Milwaukee, has hired Rob Murray as senior vice president. Murray joins the 7Summits team from Jive Software. In addition to his experience at Jive, Murray also held leadership roles with RightNow Technologies, HP, Mercury Interactive, and Business Objects. He joins 7Summits with more than 20 years of software, solutions, and business leadership.

Boelter + Lincoln Marketing Communications, Milwaukee, has promoted Garth Cramer to associate creative director. He was previously a senior copywriter and producer at the agency.

Mueller Communications Inc., Milwaukee, has hired Megan Sullivan as an assistant account executive. Prior to joining Mueller Communications, Sullivan worked as an account coordinator at BVK.

Architecture

Kahler Slater, Milwaukee, has promoted Glenn Roby to team leader of its Business Environments team. Roby joined Kahler Slater’s Milwaukee office in 2008 as associate principal and project leader. Since then, he has led teams that completed such projects as the Junior Achievement Wisconsin headquarters and the remodeling of MillerCoors’ Eastern Division headquarters, both in Milwaukee; the United Heartland headquarters in New Berlin, and the first location of Yo Mama, a new frozen yogurt restaurant concept, in Wauwatosa.

Wells Fargo Private Bank has named John Weitzer, senior vice president and wealth advisor in the bank’s Milwaukee office. Prior to his new position, Weitzer served The Private Bank’s Milwaukee-area clients as a senior investment manager.

Ridgestone Bank, Brookfield, has hired Errol Barnett, vice president of commercial lending, Katie Jeske, personal banker, and Dan Trost, assistant vice president of special assets.

Wells Fargo has hired Gina Alberts Peter as senior vice president to lead its offices in the Wisconsin market. Peter will oversee offices in Milwaukee, Green Bay, Madison, Wausau and Appleton which provide services and financing to middle market businesses. Peter joins Wells Fargo from BMO Harris Bank, N.A., where she was a senior vice president managing large corporate business development in St. Louis, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Tampa, Orlando and Milwaukee.

Nelson Williams has been named chief executive officer of the Briohn Companies, including Briohn Building Corporation, Briohn Design Group and Briohn Property Management in Brookfield. Williams previously served as vice president of Briohn Building Corporation. Brian Byrne, the founder of the company, will continue to serve the company as chairman of the board going forward.

Consulting

Reserve Advisors, Milwaukee, has hired Timothy Matthiesen as a civil engineer. He previously worked for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee where he gained experience in building inspections and condition assessments.

Education

Concordia University Wisconsin, Mequon, has promoted Robert Nowak to senior director of enrollment services. Nowak has worked at the university since 2007.

The Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (MIAD) has hired Carol Masse as executive director of financial aid and Vicki Waschow as senior financial aid counselor. Stephanie Russell was hired as an accounting clerk and administrative assistant and Crystal Meshigaud was hired as a student accounts clerk. Brenda Jones was promoted to vice president for financial affairs and Edie McClellan was promoted to director of human resources.

Engineering

Brookfield-based R.A. Smith National, promoted Len Roecker to director of municipal services. Roecker started with the firm in 1999 and has more than 25 years of experience in serving municipal clients.

Government Organizations

Julie Feldman, owner of Feldman Media LLC, Bayside, has been named director of marketing and communications for the Wisconsin Department of Tourism. Feldman started her full-service media company, Feldman Media LLC, after more than 30 years of work in the field of television.

Health Care

The Froedtert Hospital Foundation Board of Directors recently elected three new board members. They include: Joanne Lawlis-Schulz, community volunteer and philanthropist through the Greater Milwaukee Foundation; Michael Schroeder, managing director and president of Private Wealth Management at Robert W. Baird; and Dr. Marcy Neuburg, director of Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin Skin Cancer Center.

Hospitality & Entertainment

Lowlands Group has named chef Wilhelm Borgstrom the company’s new culinary director. Borgstrom began his culinary career at the Radisson Hotel in St. Paul, Minn., where he rose through the ranks. He pursued a culinary degree at the Culinary Institute of America in New York, before returning to Minnesota as the sous chef of the award-winning Le E’toile in the St. Paul Hotel. He has also served as executive chef for a number of high end hotels, opening restaurants in Hong Kong, Rome, London, Barcelona, and Munich, as well as cities throughout the United States. The Lowlands Group owns and operates five restaurants in the Milwaukee area: Café Hollander – Downer Avenue and Tosa Village, Benelux Grand Café and Market, Trocadero Gastrobar, and Café Centraal.

Dustin Thomas was recently named compliance manager at Potawatomi Bingo Casino, Milwaukee. Thomas, an enrolled member of the Mohawk Nation, has worked in tribal casinos since 2005, for the last five years in a regulatory capacity. Kevin Freddes was also recently named table games director at the casino. He most recently served as Potawatomi Bingo Casino’s assistant table games director.

Insurance

Brookfield-based Diversified Insurance Services has hired Dirk Mlachnik to the agency as risk consultant in the agency’s Risk Services Group. Mlachnik has more than 20 years of insurance and risk management services experience, most recently with the Starr Group, Greenfield.

The Starr Group, Greenfield has added Nick Starr as a personal insurance counselor in the firm’s personal lines department.

Legal Services

Waukesha-based Schaefer Brush Manufacturing Company Inc., has named Sandra Pollich as customer service supervisor, and Robert Nuernberg has been promoted to safety director. Nurnberg previously served as production supervisor at the firm.

Milwaukee-based Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren S.C. added two attorneys to the firm’s Health Care and Litigation practices. Timothy Kamke was added to Reinhart’s Health Care Practice. He has experience in managing legal issues associated with all aspects of health care businesses. Guy Temple was added to the firm’s Litigation Practice. Temple joins the firm from the United States Air Force JAG Corp. He has more than four years of practice advising both individual clients and senior military leadership on criminal and civil legal matters affecting the organization and administration of Air Force operations.

Management Services

Dawn Bernatz has joined Pewaukee-based Burkwald & Associates’ communication department as a communication specialist. Prior to joining the firm, Bernatz worked as a senior corporate communication specialist for Children’s Hospital and Health System.

Manufacturing

Butler-based MRPC has added David Kurth as senior project engineer. Having previously served as a manufacturing engineer at MRPC from 1991 to 1993, Kurth now rejoins the team. He has more than 30 years of medical device manufacturing and engineering knowledge.

Nonprofit

JFS Housing Inc. has added Tobey Libber as executive director. Libber has more than 25 years of experience working in the Milwaukee community. Prior to JFSHI, he served as the Helen Bader Foundation’s program officer for Jewish Life and Learning where he managed the annual grant budget and was responsible for grant evaluation, technical assistance, and coalition building.

Professional Athletics

The Milwaukee Brewers recently promoted two members of the club’s medical and training staff. Roger Caplinger, who has served as the Brewers head athletic trainer for 10 years, has been named to a new post of director of medical operations. In this role, Caplinger will oversee all operations of the Brewers training and medical staff at both the Major and Minor League levels. Caplinger is currently in his 22nd season with the organization. Dan Wright, the Brewers assistant athletic trainer for the past 10 years, will take on the role of head athletic trainer.

Social Services

Three new members have been elected to the board of directors of La Causa Inc, Milwaukee. They include: Nancy Jelen, professor at the school of education at Alverno College; Martha Lamelas, mentor, assessor and educator at Lakeland College; and Andres De Leon, a human resources manager at UPS.

Transportation

Ewald Fleet Solutions, Waukesha, has named Ryan Barz account executive. Barz joins the Ewald team with more than 5 years of automotive industry and business-to-business sales experience.
