Meyer & Wallis, Milwaukee, recently promoted Betsy Wyant to vice president of account services. She has spent more than four years at the firm as an account director.

Eppstein Uhen Architects, Milwaukee, announced that Julie Kent has joined the firm’s health and wellness team as a senior health care planner. She has more than 12 years and has helped several nationally-ranked organizations in aligning their strategic vision and real estate assets.

 

Banking & Finance

Alex Kramer was appointed senior vice president of wealth management sales for the Johnson Bank Wealth Management team in Racine. Kramer was previously with Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, where he held the position of vice president of private banking.

Danielle Smith has been hired as branch manager at the Associated Bank branch in Muskego location. She previously worked as a branch manager for U.S. Bank and has 11 years of banking experience.

 

Building & Construction

The Milwaukee office of Opus Development Corp. announced that Matthew Bratzke has been promoted to director of project management. Bratzke will be responsible for management of all design and construction projects in the Milwaukee office. Previously, Bratzke held the position of senior project manager with Opus. Bratzke joined Opus in 1998.

 

Chambers of Commerce & Visitors Bureaus

Marissa Pitroski has been named convention sales manager for Visit Milwaukee. Most recently, Pitroski served as an account executive for the Milwaukee Bucks and Hyatt Hotels & Resorts.

 

Consulting

Tom Wood has joined the Summit Group Associates Ltd., a Milwaukee-based consortium of management consultants with clients nationwide. Wood is founder and president of Navigata LLC, Appleton, and consults on operations, financial management and strategy development for businesses and non-profit organizations. He has expertise in lean management.

 

Distribution

Butler- based, MRPC, a single-source provider of medical device components and assemblies, has promoted Joshua Meier to controller and Marianne Elmer to director of administration. Meier has been with MRPC for 11 years and Elmer for more than 30 years.

 

Education

Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) has added Scott Weaver as its director of planned giving. Weaver was hired as part of the John and Linda Mellowes Planned Giving Initiative, with funding provided by the Charter Manufacturing Company Foundation Inc. With this new initiative, the university wants to encourage alumni and supporters to include MSOE in their financial and estate planning. Prior to joining MSOE, Weaver was the director of gift planning for the Wisconsin Province of the Society of Jesus where he was responsible for planned giving and major gifts for a seven-state province, managing some events, staff and clergy, and also planning activities for and maintaining relationships with major donors. Weaver also served as director of planned giving at Cardinal Stritch University.

 

Health Care

Froedtert Health, Wauwatosa, promoted Catherine Jacobson, executive vice president of finance and strategy, to president of Froedtert Health; and Cathy Buck, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Froedtert Hospital, will be promoted to president of Froedtert Hospital. Jacobson came to Froedtert Health in 2010 after 14 years with Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Buck has served in progressive leadership capacities at Froedtert Hospital since 1983.

Glenn Allen Bolton, Jr., has been named The Medical College of Wisconsin’s new senior vice president for finance and administration. He succeeds Douglas R. Campbell, who served the college for more than 18 years. During the last 24 years, Bolton has served in a number of leadership capacities both at UAB and at University of Texas’ Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Roy Silverstein, has been appointed chairman and the Linda and John Mellowes professor in medicine at The Medical College of Wisconsin. Silverstein will also join the medical staff as chief of medicine at Froedtert Hospital. Silverstein is currently the chairman of the department of Cell Biology and vice chair for Translational Research at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Lerner Research Institute.

 

Hospitality & Entertainment

Cousins Subs, Menomonee Falls, has significantly expanded the role of Kim Kofler, the company’s vice president of operations. Kofler, who previously oversaw store operations, will now also be responsible for several corporate departments including information technology, purchasing and distribution, training and human resources. Kofler began working as a cashier and sandwich maker at a Cousins store in 1983 and has served as a store manager, area supervisor, franchise field consultant, director of franchise operations, senior director of franchise operations and vice president of franchise operations.

 

Legal Services

Nicole Rosen has been hired as an attorney in the health care practice of Milwaukee law firm Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren S.C. Rosen earned her J.D. from Marquette University Law School in May. While at Marquette, Rosen served as president of the Health Law Society.

Godfrey & Kahn S.C., Milwaukee, attorney shareholder Todd Smith has been named chair of the Appellate Practice Section of The State Bar of Wisconsin. He was elected chair-elect of that section in 2010. Smith represents clients in state and federal appellate courts, focusing on appeals related to insurance coverage issues and cases brought under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

 

Manufacturing

Butler-based MRPC, has named Don Durand as its east coast territory sales manager.  Durand, a U.S. Air Force Reserves Master Sergeant has 20 years of materials processing and silicone plastics experience.

New Berlin-based ice cream maker Denali Ingredients has added Doug Allen to its corporate team as business development director of stabilizer systems. Allen is responsible for managing the company’s current customer relationships, while overseeing new product development in the dairy stabilizer category. Allen has 25 years of experience managing product categories, sales organizations and multi-million dollar accounts.

 

Nonprofit

Safe & Sound Inc., a non-profit committed to the mission of reducing violent crime in Milwaukee communities and among youth, has elected Benjamin Wagner, a shareholder at the law firm Habush, Habush, & Rottier S.C., and Randi Becker, vice president of Industry & Community Relations at The Mark Travel Corp., to its board of directors.

Michael Mortell has joined the Milwaukee-based Alliance for Children and Families as the director of the Strategy Counts! initiative. Previously, Mortell served as project manager for the Greater Milwaukee Committee.

Milwaukee-based First Stage has added Katie Weeks to the organization as development director. The First Stage production department also recently added Robb Bessey in the position of technical director and the First Stage Theater Academy announced the addition of Katie Cummings as school year academy director.

Families in Society: The Journal of Contemporary Social Services, a professional social work journal published by the Milwaukee-based nonprofit Alliance for Children and Families, has appointed Susan Mason, professor at Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University in New York, as editor. Mason replaces Dr. William E. Powell, who retired this summer after serving as editor since 2000.

Enterprise Services Inc., Delafield, promoted Sandra Paavola to chief operating officer. Paavola previously served as vice president and has been with the company since 1993. She has more than 30 years experience in the financial services industry in both public and private firms.

 

Real Estate

Shorewest Realtors recently added seven sales associates in southeastern Wisconsin. They include: Jay Goodman in the Brookfield/Waukesha office; Carolyn Chabron in the Burlington office; Adam Joseph in the Cedarburg/Grafton office; Stephanie Kostka in the downtown Milwaukee office; Christopher Patton in the Elmbrook/Wauwatosa office; Martha Luce in the Lake Country office and Jeanne Dyer in the Lake Geneva office.

Real estate agents Jenny Knops and Cindy Shaffer have joined the Mequon office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. Knops comes to Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage as an experienced agent, previously working for Coldwell Banker The Real Estate Group. Shaffer previously worked at T4 Realty.

 

Retail

Maurices named Erika Anderson as store manager if its Waukesha location. Anderson is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store, including sales performance, visual presentation, and personnel recruitment and training.

Abigail Navti Abongwa, vice president of North Market Community Relations for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, Glendale, was recently elected to the Rosalie Manor Community & Family Services’ Board of Directors. Abongwa is experienced in strategic planning, government relations and advocacy, event planning, corporate governance and managing change according to mission, vision and values.
