Wipfli LLP has hired Shea Reese as a senior consultant. Reese will work for the firm’s state and local tax practice and will be based in the Wauwatosa office. In his new role, he will help find solutions to Wisconsin and multistate tax issues for company clients.

Delafield-based DBA Marketing Communications has added Katie Hermes to its staff as an account executive. Hermes has more than 10 years of advertising agency experience.

Equity Creative, based in Kenosha, has hired Sharon Bennett as an account executive and has added Stephanie Hazen to its creative team. The marketing communications agency also recently hired Elle Fausel as a copywriter and Derek Broyhill as an IT manager and promoted intern Bryan Miguel to junior copywriter.

Banking & Finance

Community Bank & Trust has hired Errol Barnett as senior vice president, SBA/commercial lender, in its Glendale office. Barnett has more than 30 years of commercial banking experience in southeastern Wisconsin.

Randolph “R.T.” Myricks has rejoined Milwaukee-based NMSBank as president and chief executive officer. Myricks has more than 30 years of experience in community banking, commercial and consumer lending, and new business development. He previously was president and chief executive officer of NMSBank from 1993 to 2004.

Associated Bank has expanded its Milwaukee area team with four new hires and two recent promotions. The bank has named Larry Dillon senior vice president, business solutions manager; Tammy Hanson as vice president, compliance audit manager; Christine Saron as vice president, corporate risk analyst; and Brad Slusar as vice president, sales performance manager. Annette Mueller has been promoted to vice president, marketing manager, and Chris Jones has been promoted to senior vice president, professional practices manager.

Waukesha State Bank has named Monica Fransen bank manager of its new office in New Berlin. Fransen has almost 15 years of banking experience, all within Waukesha County. She most recently worked as senior branch manager of Associated Bank’s Brookfield Square office. At Waukesha State Bank, Fransen will manage the office’s daily operations as well as oversee business development, personnel, customer service, consumer lending, relationship management and community service. She will also help facilitate the grand opening of the new office at the end of June.

Ridgestone Bank has hired Andrew Wiesner as a loan closer and Travis Frazier as a junior credit analyst in its Brookfield office.

Building & Construction

Dahlman Construction Company, Glendale, has added Kent Neale as general field superintendent. In his new role, Neale will schedule field crews and supervise projects. He has 26 years of construction experience in the commercial, industrial and medical sectors and has worked as both a craftsman and a superintendent.

CG Schmidt Inc. has hired Rob Vergeer to its Milwaukee office as an assistant controller. In his new role, Vergeer will work with each CG Schmidt division to reinforce accurate reporting and financial monitoring, evaluate company standards for measuring financing and operational performance and progress, and help direct company-wide strategic planning. Vergeer has six years of accounting and auditing experience. He most recently served as senior accountant at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP.

Consulting

Mayes Wilson & Associates LLC, Milwaukee, has hired Magill Weber to assist the company in organizational development, strategic conservation and advocacy services. Weber has more than 15 years of conservation and legal experience. She also has a background in conservation biology. Weber will work for the company from Phoenix, Ariz.

Engineering

Glendale-based Johnson Controls Inc. has appointed Kim Metcalf-Kupres to vice president and chief marketing officer. In this newly created position, Metcalf-Kupres will focus on creating marketing and sales strategies with an emphasis on brand development and customer satisfaction. She will also oversee internal and external communication. Metcalf-Kupres has worked for Johnson Controls since 1994 and most recently served as vice president of global strategy for sales and marketing in power solutions.

Health Care

Froedtert Hospital and the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) have appointed Alice Archabal as chief development officer and vice president of development. Archabal will officially join Froedtert Hospital and MCW at the end of July. She currently works as senior vice president and chief operating officer for Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago Foundation.

Insurance

HNI, New Berlin, has added Patti Paine as an account manager, Jennifer Bellante as an account administrator, and Catherine Smith as an account administrator.

Legal Services

Cross Law Firm S.C., Milwaukee, has hired Mary Flanner as a senior litigation attorney to its group of attorneys litigating employees’ rights. Flanner specializes in severance agreements, employment contracts, restrictive covenants, employment torts, compensation claims, wrongful discharge, licensure proceedings, regulatory matters, special education and public accommodation, and False Claims Act among other fraud and whistleblower issues. Flanner also counsels business startups and small businesses on transactional matters, such as collection and contract disputes and commercial litigation. She has 25 years of experience practicing employment and business litigation.

Manufacturing

Milwaukee-based Sign Effectz Inc. has added John Kowalski as business development manager. In his new position, Kowalski will help develop product lines, outline procedures and enhance business strategies.

Duncan Solutions Inc., Milwaukee, has named Todd Nevill vice president of sales for its Duncan Technologies division. Nevill has more than 20 years of experience in the parking solutions industry. He most recently served as senior vice president of USA Parking. He has also worked for ABM Parking Services; Turner Parking Systems; Central Parking Systems Inc.; and Diversified Parking Systems.

St. Francis-based Wixon has hired Steve Fischer as pricing specialist. In this newly created position, Fischer will maintain recurring price lists for Wixon’s divisions and establish new price quotes for internal stakeholders. Prior to joining Wixon, Fischer worked as a mutual fund compliance administrator for U.S. Bank.

Nonprofit

Jennifer Bartolotta has been named board president of the Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS), the state’s largest and oldest animal shelter. Bartolotta, who stepped down from her position as director of business development at The Bartolotta Restaurants last year, currently serves as director of Care-a-lottas, The Bartolotta Restaurants’ charitable branch. She is also president and owner of Train-2-Gain, which focuses on social skill development for professionals, and previously served as president of TEMPO Milwaukee, board chair at Meta House, and honorary co-chair for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. WHS has shelters in Milwaukee, Ozaukee and Racine Counties.

Milwaukee-based PAVE has added Ben Hannemann as manager of awards and donor outreach. Hannemann previously worked for marketing communication firm Versant for 12 years, focusing on workforce communications, recruitment marketing, consumer branding and business-to-business marketing.

The Wisconsin Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has added new board members: board president Jerry Arenas of Palmer’s Steakhouse; member Michael Bishop of Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc; member Stewart Brase of Midwest Area Business Development Ernst & Young; member Bill Forrester of Anchor Moving Systems; Tom Hunter of HUSCO; Greg Myers of Mason Wells; Tom McElligott of Quarles & Brady LLP; and Rob Nielsen of Johnson Financial Group.

Real Estate

Cresa Milwaukee has hired Shannon Mayer as an associate. Mayer previously worked for Foley & Lardner LLP’s marketing team for eight years.

Irgens, Wauwatosa, has named Jeff Williams development director. In his new role, Williams will serve the greater Milwaukee market and will help promote new business development, complete successful real estate transactions, enhance client relations, identify and measure health care and commercial development opportunities, and oversee the progress of development projects. Williams’ commercial real estate experience includes working for firms such as McShane Construction Corp., U.S. Equities Realty, Grubb & Ellis Company, Colliers International and The Hinman Company.

Matthew Cariello has joined CBRE Inc.’s Milwaukee staff in its office brokerage group after interning at the office. In his new position, he will assist with tenant and landlord representation as well as lease negotiations.

Retail

Michelle Gass has been appointed chief customer officer at Menomonee Falls-based Kohl’s Department Stores. In this newly created position, Gass will lead branding efforts across all platforms as well as oversee marketing efforts, the company’s e-commerce business on Kohls.com and customer experience. Gass previously worked for Starbucks Corp. for more than 16 years in a number of senior leadership positions. She will officially join Kohl’s on June 17.

Technology

WorkWise LLC, Menomonee Falls, has hired Jeremy Wedell as a controller. In this role, Wedell will guide all accounting and financial operations.

Karen Hoffmann has joined Milwaukee-based Prolitec Inc. as director of customer care. Hoffmann has more than 20 years of customer service experience and most recently served as a product marketing manager for MagnaDrive Corp. At Prolitec, Hoffmann will oversee staff members engaged in maintaining customer satisfaction in the United States and worldwide.
