Panelists to share best practices at Manufacturing Summit

The BizTimes Manufacturing Summit will be held Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Wisconsin Exposition Center at State Fair Park.

The interactive panel will feature leaders from several key Wisconsin manufacturing companies, including: Bill Goggins, CEO of Harken USA; Bob Kamphuis, CEO of Mayville Engineering Company Inc.; Jim Kettinger, president and CEO of IEA Inc.; and Ralf Schoenfelder, CEO of IGC Technologies Inc.

The leaders will share their best operational strategies and discuss solutions for competing in a global marketplace during the two hour panel.

Goggins has been with Harken Yacht Equipment for more than 12 years and has served as CEO of Pewaukee-based Harken’s U.S. operations since 2009. Harken has 400 employees working out of nine global offices and supplies sailboat hardware and technical sailing clothing worldwide.

Kamphuis serves as CEO, president and chairman of the board at Mayville-based Mayville Engineering Company Inc, which has five Wisconsin locations. He has 31 years of business and finance experience and sits on the board of Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce.

Schoenfelder has helped grow Milwaukee-based IGC Technologies Inc.’s global footprint with his experience as a manager at manufacturing companies in five countries. The company has seen steady organic growth through domestic and international distribution, new product development and market expansion.

Kettinger has served as president and CEO of Kenosha-based IEA Inc. since 2007. The company makes custom industrial radiators using a lean manufacturing system and has adapted to industry changes in emissions standards by developing a new aluminum alloy product.

New this year, the BizTimes Manufacturing Summit will be included in the Wisconsin Manufacturing and Technology Show, which runs Oct. 4-6 at the Exposition Center. The event includes metalworking, manufacturing tool and new technology demonstrations from more than 200 exhibitors.

The Exposition Center is at 8200 W. Greenfield Avenue in West Allis. Parking is $5. Registration and networking will begin at 7 a.m.
