Nonprofit News: ‘Milwaukee’s Finest’ to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will launch the inaugural Milwaukee’s Finest event in January.

The event will showcase young professionals who show exemplary leadership, are active in the community and have excelled in their profession or business.

“In addition to raising awareness and funds for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, our goal is to introduce young professionals in the Milwaukee area to philanthropic causes,” said Danelle O’Neill, executive director of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The campaign will kick off at an event held on Thursday, Jan. 19, at Coast, 931 E. Wisconsin Ave. In addition to raising a minimum of $2,500 by the final event on Thursday, April 19, at Coast, candidates who are selected as part of Milwaukee’s Finest will have the opportunity to be paired with a family and be educated on the impact and challenges associated with Cystic Fibrosis. They also will meet with mentors to discuss ways they can and should get involved in the nonprofit community, O’Neill said.

Julie Brzostowicz is the development manager at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and is leading the charge on the Milwaukee’s Finest event.

Nominations for Milwaukee’s Finest will be accepted until Thursday, Jan. 5. Nominees must be between 25 and 40 years of age. To nominate, visit visit www.wisconsin.cff.org/finest.
