Annual Monarch Ball raises record funds
The Lutheran Home Foundation set a new record for revenue raised at its annual Monarch Ball. The organization was able to collect nearly $110,000 in net proceeds. The funds will be used to provide care to senior residents. The ball was held early in September at the Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee. The event included a silent auction, a raffle and the presentation of the Altenheim Award to Ron and Bea Maassen.
 
Coakley to launch annual food drive
Milwaukee-based C.H. Coakley will once again host Dinner on the Mayflower, a city-wide food drive that will benefit Hunger Task Force’s Food for Families program.
Area businesses can participate in Dinner on the Mayflower by hosting a food drive at their business location and having C.H. Coakley will coordinate the logistics of pick up and delivery of food barrels.
To participate, businesses are encouraged to contact Liz Williams to participate. The food barrels will be dropped off on Tuesday, Nov. 1 and collected again, on Wednesday, Nov. 16.
“Families around Milwaukee who find themselves in need should utilize the Hunger Task Force, where they really reach out and assist those who have little or no food to eat,” stated Michael Coakley, managing partner of C.H. Coakley. “With the Dinner on the Mayflower food drive, our goal is that fewer families will wake up hungry.  We make this food drive almost effortless and fun for participating companies – every business should be involved with this.”
