A new nonprofit has been formed by the board of Bradley Center Sports & Entertainment Corp. to support the services, programs and capital needs of the BMO Harris Bradley Center as the community evaluates its future.
Gail Lione, former executive vice president, general counsel and secretary at Harley-Davidson Inc., has served on the board for 11 years, and will now chair the new nonprofit.
Lione will lead initiatives to support the existing facility by capitalizing on the efforts of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce’s Champions of the Community, a group of businesses and community leaders who have contributed $19 million to the Bradley Center.
In addition, Gov. Scott Walker has appointed Jeff Joerres, chairman and chief executive officer of ManpowerGroup, to the Bradley Center’s board. Joerres would begin a new term once approved by the state Legislature.
Marc Marotta, attorney at Foley & Lardner, will continue to serve on the board. His appointment by former Gov. Jim Doyle will expire, but he has now been nominated by the Bradley Family Foundation to fill the seat being vacated by Lione.
