*Friday, June 21, through Sunday, June 23, the Milwaukee Art Museum will hold the Lakefront Festival of Art, an event showcasing the talents of more than 170 artists specializing in jewelry, paintings, ceramics, metals and more. The event runs both indoors and outdoors at the Milwaukee Art Museum, located at 700 N. Art Museum Dr. in Milwaukee. Admission is $15 for the general public, $8 for museum members, $20 for a three-day pass and free for kids age 16 and under. For a complete schedule of festival events, visit www.mam.org.

*Friday, June 21, Best Buddies Wisconsin will present the inaugural “Milwaukee Glow in the Night 5K” to help the nonprofit build financial support and advance its mission of providing leadership and friendship opportunities for people with disabilities. The run is one of seven being held by the organization across the country. The Milwaukee race will start at 8:30 p.m. at Hart Park, located at 7300 W. Chestnut St. in Wauwatosa. Race organizers recommend runners wear white t-shirts during the 3.1-mile race, during which they will be immersed in color dust under black lights. The event is open to athletes of all skill levels, and the race will not be timed. An after-party featuring music and food will also be a part of the event. Race admission costs $40. *Saturday, June 22, Historic Milwaukee, Inc. (HMI) will hold its annual member meeting along with a volunteer recognition program and a celebration honoring the 2013 graduates of the guide training class. Students within the class learn about Milwaukee’s history and architecture so that they can eventually lead HMI tours throughout the city. The meeting and program will run from 10:45 a.m. to noon at the Menomonee Valley Urban Ecology Center, located at 3700 W. Pierce St. in Milwaukee. Coffee and treats will be provided. After the program, attendees will have the option of checking out the center, the Valley Passage bridge and the Hank Aaron Trail. The event registration deadline has passed. *Wednesday, June 26, the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee will present a workshop focused on QuickBooks, a program used to track accounts, customers, vendors, transactions and more. The workshop will be guided by Vrakas/Blum certified public accountants and business advisors. It will run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee, located at 2819 W.
