*Tuesday, Sept. 23, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Wisconsin Chapter will hold a social for young professionals at Evolution Milwaukee, located at 233 E. Chicago St. in Milwaukee. During the event, attendees will have an opportunity to network, play ping, learn about the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and learn how to become involved in Milwaukee’s Finest. The annual fundraising competition pools the talents and resources of some of Milwaukee’s most accomplished young professionals. Money collected benefits the foundation’s mission to raise awareness about cystic fibrosis and fund research toward a cure. *Wednesday, Sept. 24, the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee will hold a workshop on “What’s new with the Affordable Care Act for 2015?” During the free information session, attendees will get up to speed on health care reform, 2015 changes and health insurance purchase options. The workshop will run from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee, located at 2819 W. Highland Blvd. in Milwaukee. An additional health care workshop will be held on Thursday, Nov. 13. *Wednesday, Sept. 24, the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network Greater Milwaukee Chapter will hold a career and resource fair. The event will provide a forum for nonprofit organizations, membership associations and nonprofit professionals to exchange information about job opportunities in Milwaukee’s nonprofit sector. Attendees will also be able to learn more about organizations’ volunteer and membership opportunities as well as received discounted professional head shots. The fair, free and open to the public, will run from 5 to 7 p.m. at IndependenceFirst, located at 540 S. 1st St. in Milwaukee. *Thursday, Sept. 25, the Milwaukee Press Club will host a “Behind the Headlines” luncheon focused on the need to enhance the city’s branding efforts. The luncheon, part of an ongoing series headed by the press club, will explore current initiatives that are helping raise Milwaukee’s identity on a national level and will also look at what needs to be done in order to further elevate its brand across the country and world. A group of area journalists and executives will facilitate a Q&A on Milwaukee’s brand. The luncheon, open to the public, will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Foley & Lardner LLP, located on the 40th floor of the U.S. Bank Building at 777 E. Wisconsin Ave. in downtown Milwaukee. Cost is $20 for press club members and $25 for non-members and includes lunch. Seating is limited, and advanced registration and payment are required. *Thursday, Sept. 25, Operation Forward March, a Wounded Warrior Project awareness event, will be held at the Milwaukee County War Memorial Center. The event, driven forward by the Revolinski-Maciosek Wealth Management Group, will feature a dinner, live music by Tweed Funk, and a presentation by a retired veteran and a wounded warrior. The event will run from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and is free. Seating is limited. The war memorial is located at 750 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive in Milwaukee.
