  • Monday, Feb. 14 Beauty hair salon will offer haircuts and blowouts to participating clients from 12 to 5 p.m. at its Eastside location, 1633 N. Farwell Ave. All of the proceeds from the days events will benefit the women of St. Catherineโ€™s. In addition to these services, Beauty is also hosting a clothing drive which will be open to the public. Top stylists in the salon are donating their time and talent for the effort.   • Thursday, Feb. 17 SummerStage will host its third annual โ€œBreak-A-Leg Galaโ€ at the Seven Seas Grand Ballroom, in Hartland from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. This yearโ€™s theme is โ€œOn Broadwayโ€ and will include a raffle, silent auction, dinner, live entertainment featuring local performers, and special SummerStage announcements. Cost to attend is $50 per person or $400 for a table of 8. Tickets may be purchased online at www.summer-stage.org or at the door.

  • Thursday, Feb. 17 The Association of Fundraising Professionals, Milwaukee chapter will host a seminar entitled Fundraisingโ€™s Role in a Sustainable Organization, at the Italian Conference Center, 631 E. Chicago St., from 11:30a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Steve Zimmerman, CPA, MBA will be the keynote speaker. Cost to attend is $25 for members or $45 for nonmembers.   • Friday, Feb. 18 Dryhootch of America, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping veterans and their families survive and thrive in the community, will host Comics for Courage Laff-a-thon with comedians Christopher Cannon and Jay Harris. The event will be held at Hoeppner-Horn Brothers VFW Post, 17980 W. Beloit Road in New Berlin. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. A cash bar will be provided, all ages are welcome. All proceeds from the event benefit Dryhootch and the Wounded Warrior Project. Tickets can be purchased for $15 in advance at www.dryhootch.org.
  • Monday, Feb. 21 Stillwaters Cancer Support Services will host a Young Women & Cancer Group at the Stillwaters Cancer Support Services facility, 434 Madison St. in Waukesha, from 6 to 8 p.m. registration in advance is required and can be done by contacting Stillwaters at (262) 548-9148 or staff@stillwaterscenter.org.

  • Wednesday, Feb. 23 Gildaโ€™s Club Southeastern Wisconsin and the JCC will present Extreme Thought Makerover: Replacing Fear with Hope event at the Jewish Community Center, 6255 N. Santa Monica Blvd., from 6 to 8 p.m. Dr. Rick Schaefer will key note the event and will discuss psychological well-being and the process of how to feel good.   • Friday, Feb. 25 In Tandem Theatre will open its comedic show Murder at the Howard Johnsonโ€™s by Ron Clark and Sam Bobrick at the Tenth Street Theatre, 628 N. 10th St., Milwaukee.   • Saturday, Feb. 26 The Milwaukee Wave of Hope organization will host itโ€™s annual A Reason for Hope Gala at the Milwaukee Athletic Club Grand Ballroom, 758 N. Broadway from 6 p.m. to midnight.   • Tuesday, March 8 The Alzheimerโ€™s Association will host its 2011 Mardi Gras Gala at the Milwaukee Art Museum, 700 N. Art Museum Drive beginning at 5 p.m. The event is being held on โ€œFat Tuesday and will feature cocktails hors dโ€™oeuvres and a silent auction. Guests will also enjoy live entertainment from a juggler, a palm and tarot card reader, a caricaturist, a handwriting analyst and an accordion player. Formal Cajun-style food will also be served. Proceeds from the event will support programs and services provided to the community by the Alzheimerโ€™s Association.   • Friday, March 25 The Great Lakes Hemophilia Foundation will host a Mad Hatterโ€™s reception at Pier Wisconsin, 500 N. Harbor Drive, to raise money in support of Wisconsinโ€™s bleeding disorders community. The event will feature live and silent auctions, signature cocktails, a pasta bar and desserts. Live auction prizes include Green Bay Packer tickets, a Chicago Bears weekend getaway and a party package with beer for a year.  Tickets are $75 and corporate packages are available for $1800 with additional underwriting opportunities starting at $500.  RSVP online at glhf.org or by calling the foundation at (414)-257-6786.
