*Saturday, April 26, IndependenceFirst will hold an e-cycle drive in the parking lot of the Pettit National Ice Center, located at 500 S. 84th St. in Milwaukee. The drive will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will collect computers, large appliances, televisions and other electrical equipment. All computer donations will support IndependenceFirst’s Computer Recycling Program, which gives free computers to people with disabilities. *Wednesday, April 30, Rebuilding Together Greater Milwaukee will host a fundraising kick-off event themed “We Rebuilt this City on Rock and Roll.” The kick-off will celebrate the start of the organization’s 14th rebuilding season with music, dancing and a meal provided by Bartolotta Restaurant Group. *Thursday, May 8, the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee will hold a workshop on techniques to use in training staff members to work effectively with volunteers. The workshop, titled “Training Staff to Succeed with Volunteers,” will teach attendees how to train staff to develop volunteer positions, oversee volunteers and handle conflict.
