National Geographic to showcase Milwaukee heirlooms
National Geographic will visit Milwaukee in search of heirlooms that help tell the story of the nation’s history. Its new series, America’s Lost Treasures will be in Milwaukee starting Sunday, Feb. 19 to search for extras and objects to be on the show.
According to a release issued by National Geographic, people may submit their historical heirlooms for consideration on the show’s website here.

The company is looking for Civil War era muskets, historical letters or documents, ancient Native American artifacts, antique musical instruments or pop-culture collectibles.
Money, up to $10,000 may be offered to display the items in a special year-long exhibit of America’s National Treasures.
Space is limited, people are encouraged to contact the show as soon as possible. Film extras will also be needed for the shoot at the Museum on Feb. 19 and Feb. 22. For more information contact the show at AmericasNationalTreasures@gmail.com
