The Urban Ecology Center’s NIKIYA HARRIS won a special election to the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors Tuesday. Harris, who defeated consultant WALLACE WHITE in the election, will replace TONI CLARK in the 2nd District after Clark pleaded guilty to election fraud charges in March. The board of the Milwaukee Public Museum has named JAY WILLIAMS, president of PrivateBank-Milwaukee, as the new museum president. He replaces former Waukesha Co. Exec. DAN FINLEY, who is departing to move to California.

Several staff members of the Milwaukee Co. district attorney’s office have received state and national recognition. They include ANN RANFRANZ (Lifetime Achievement Award from the Wisconsin Coalition Against Domestic Violence), Deputy DA PATRICK KENNEY (Deputy District Attorney of the Year from the Wisconsin District Attorneys Association), Assistant DA PAUL TIFFIN (Assistant District Attorney of the Year from the Wisconsin District Attorneys Association), and Assistant DA MIRIAM FALK (2010 Woman of the Year from the Wisconsin Law Journal and the Association for Women Lawyers).
