Briana Birenbaum, CPA, has been promoted to tax manager at Vrakas/Blum S.C. in Brookfield. She joined the firm in 2010 following her graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a master of professional accountancy degree. Birenbaum will be responsible for providing tax planning, compliance and research support for clients in the manufacturing, service and travel industries. Birenbaum is also a member of Vrakas/Blum’s multi-state tax committee and helps to develop and train tax department staff.
Michael Hall, CPA, has been promoted to principal at Vrakas/Blum S.C. in Brookfield. Hall joined the firm in 2004, and most recently served as a tax manager. In his new role, Hall will be responsible for supervising tax department staff and reviewing complex, involved corporate, partnership and individual tax returns. He holds a master’s degree from UW-Whitewater.
Drew Barman has been hired as a staff accountant in the assurance department at Wegner CPAs in Pewaukee. Barman holds a bachelor’s in professional accountancy and a bachelor’s in business administration from Augustana College. He will play a key role in strengthening the firm’s relationships with current tax-exempt clients.
