The Milwaukee Chapter #13 of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) has received two awards in recognition of its achievements in the past year.

The chapter was given the 2004 Presidential Award for recognition of superior achievements in chapter activities and for its contribution toward extending the professionalism of the IREM.

The Milwaukee Chapter #13, with just under 200 members, beat the 600-member Houston Chapter to capture the Presidential Award.

The Milwaukee group also received the 2004 Gold Award for Chapter of the Year in the medium-sized chapter category.

The first place award was given in recognition of local chapter’s performance for the past year, including contributions to Marquette University’s Associates in Commercial Real Estate (ACRE) program, educational offerings, successful seminars and chapter growth.

Milwaukee Chapter #13 president Angela Fullerton of MLG Management LLC accepted the awards on behalf of the chapter at the IREM Legislative Action Summit held in Washington, D.C.

"It was truly an honor to accept these awards, representing the hard work of chapter leaders and demonstrating the successful momentum and enthusiasm we’ve experienced with our chapter", Fullerton said.

An affiliate of the National Association of Realtors, the IREM is the only professional real estate management association serving both the multi-family and commercial real estate sectors. With 82 U.S. chapters, seven international chapters and several other partnerships around the globe, the IREM is an international organization that serves as an advocate on issues affecting the real estate management industry.

Membership includes nearly 16,000 individual members and 530 corporate members.
