The second annual Milwaukee IndyFest roars into town this weekend with a pre-race celebration lined up to add to the excitement.
On Thursday, June 13, Marcus Hotels & Resorts (a division of The Marcus Corporation) will present the Milwaukee IndyFest Street Party. The free event, which is open to the public, will include live music and a car show in the parking lot on 5th Street and Wisconsin Avenue across from the Hilton Milwaukee Hotel.
Marcus Hotels & Resorts is serving as Milwaukee IndyFest’s Champion of the Community Partner as well as its official hotel and catering partner.
“We are extremely excited to again partner with Andretti Sports Marketing on the second annual Milwaukee IndyFest at the Milwaukee Mile,” said Chris Anderson, senior vice president of sales, marketing and brand development for Marcus Hotels & Resorts. “Last year’s race was a huge success, and we know this year will be even better.”
The company’s street party, running from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., will also include appearances by IZOD IndyCar Series drivers and an appearance by race champion Michael Andretti, a House of Harley-Davidson parade, a Kids Zone, and food and beer from Miller Time Pub & Grill.
Organizers will donate five percent of food and beverage purchases to the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, which has been designated as the official charity of Milwaukee IndyFest.
Following the street party, race fans can continue the fun at Miller Time Pub & Grill, located at 509 W. Wisconsin Ave. in downtown Milwaukee.
