Milwaukee business leaders to host Romney fundraiser

An invitation for a Sept. 25 Mitt Romney fundraiser in Milwaukee lists a Wisconsin organizing committee that includes some top donors.
Those listed include: Craig Leipold, owner of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild, and Helen Johnson Leipold of the S.C. Johnson family; Ned Bechtold, chairman of the road building company Payne & Dolan; and Milwaukee philanthropist Michael Cudahy, founder of Marquette Electronics, which was sold to GE.
Others listed on the organizing committee include Olympic speed skating champions Bonnie Blair, Casey FitzRandolph and Dan Jansen; Scott Walker friend John Hiller; former state Sen. Ted Kanavas; influential Republican vet Jim Klauser; former Deputy AG Ray Taffora; and former state Treasurer Jack Voight.
The Sept. 25 brunch at the Wisconsin Club in Milwaukee is asking $2,500 to be a gold sponsor, $1,000 to be a silver sponsor and $250 to attend.
