MGS to host seminar for WCTC students

MGS Mfg. Group Inc. will host an educational seminar for about 20 Waukesha County Technical College students on Tuesday, March 5, at its Germantown facility.

MGS is a leading provider of engineered manufacturing solutions for the plastics industry.

The students are in their first year at WCTC. They are taking the moldmaking/CNC machining course, and will have the opportunity to tour the company’s mold making, specialty equipment fabrication and injection molding facilities.

After a tour, MGS will conduct a classroom session during which design, mold making, project engineering, programming and CNC machining employees will teach the students about their jobs.

The company is working to strengthen its educational partnerships and let students know about careers in manufacturing. MGS will continue to offer tour and seminars for high school and college students. It also exhibits at career fairs in the area.

MGS hopes to encourage students to stay in school and choose a career path in manufacturing, possibly at MGS.
