Milwaukee-based Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corp. (MGIC), the principal subsidiary of MGIC Investment Corp., announced that James Karpowicz, CFA, senior vice president, chief investment officer and treasurer, will retire, effective March 1.
Karpowicz joined MGIC in October 1986 as assistant treasurer.
MGIC also announced the promotion of Lisa Pendergast to vice president and treasurer. In addition to serving as assistant treasurer for the past 11 years, Pendergast’s prior MGIC positions include treasury operations manager and investment portfolio analyst.
