Metal fabricator plans move from Sussex to Germantown

Organizations:

Xtreme Stainless LLC, a metal fabrication firm located in Sussex, plans to move to a proposed 16,128-square-foot industrial building that would be built on a vacant 5.65-acre site at N194 W11055 Kleinmann Dr. in Germantown.

The building will have a 16,128-square-foot footprint and a 2,650-square-foot storage mezzanine. The site has room for a future 10,000-square-foot expansion.

The company, which has been in business for about nine years, currently leases 10,000 square feet of space at N63 W22641 W. Main St. in Sussex. It needs more space and will own the facility in Germantown, said Rich Rutkowski, owner of Xtreme Stainless.

“The land (in Germantown) is right off the freeway,” he said. “I like the freeway access.”

Brookfield-based Briohn Building Corp. will be the general contractor for the project.

The project is expected to begin in the spring of 2015 and is expected to be complete in August of 2015, Rutkowski said. The Germantown Plan Commission will review plans for the project on Monday.

The company currently has five employees and plans to add three or four more once the move to the new building is complete, Rutkowski said.
