Tosa accounting firm acquires Madison company
Wauwatosa-based accounting firm Reilly, Penner & Benton LLP has acquired Madison area accounting firm Ragsdale, Spitz & Reuschlein, which has offices in Middleton and McFarland.
With the acquisition, Reilly, Penner & Benton now has about 65 employees and three offices, said partner Mike Van Wagenen.
The name of the merged firm will be Reilly, Penner & Benton LLP.

"Here in Milwaukee, our major niche is our work with tax-exempt organizations," Van Wagenen said. "With (the Madison area) being the cradle of government, we felt there would be some nice synergies there. We believe that there are opportunities for us (to expand in Madison), based on our current practice we have here in Milwaukee."
