What does your daily or weekly fitness regime consist of? I do land aerobics two times a week, teach water aerobics 1-2 times a week, work with a trainer once a week, walk as much as possible, swim when possible and ballroom dance once a week.
Other than the obvious health benefits, how has being fit improved your life? Being fit has given me more energy, better clothing options, more self exteem. My dating options have also increased as a result of being fitÖ I love being me!
How does personal fitness affect your work life? Less off time and more energy is a result of my personal fitness.
How does fitness or wellness affect your overall organization? My employees have noticed my change in attitude and size. We have incorporated a 15 minute walk time for those that want it. Anyone can take an extra 15 minute break if they go out and walk.
What advice do you have for other executives interested in starting either a personal fitness plan or corporate wellness initiative? Set the example yourself and walk the walk. Don’t expect anyone to do something you won’t do yourself.
