March of Dimes Wisconsin names new director

The March of Dimes has appointed Jodi Legge as Wisconsin state director. In her new role, Legge will manage programs, public affairs, marketing, events, fundraising, operations and volunteer development for the Wisconsin chapter of the national nonprofit organization.

Legge will enter the position with more than 20 years of experience in strategic planning, marketing, fundraising, communications, public relations, special event planning and reporting. In addition to having managed the marketing, communications and fundraising efforts of the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington, D.C., she managed similar efforts for the nonprofit America’s Promise Alliance and has corporate experience in financial services, utilities and printing.

The position will bring Legge back to her native state.

“With a background in marketing and fundraising, Jodi is the ideal person for this position,” said Shelly Goodchild, West Region Area director for the March of Dimes. “Plus, her Wisconsin roots, passion for the mission of the March of Dimes and prior success in fundraising makes her the perfect person to move the Wisconsin chapter forward. Her appointment is very exciting.”

The March of Dimes Wisconsin chapter is headquartered in Milwaukee with additional locations in Green Bay and Madison. The March of Dimes’ mission revolves around pregnancy and healthy babies.
