Learn more about:

Glendale-based SASI, a third-party administration and record keeping firm, has been purchased by longtime employees Deborah Kuras and William Brown for $150,000.handshake

SASI, located at 1720 W. Florist Ave., Suite 250, specializes in Health Reimbursement Arrangements, Flexible Spending Accounts, Premium Only Plans, Transportation Plans, and 401(k) and other Defined Contribution Plans. It has five employees.

Eugene Hill, who founded the company in 1989 and was the previous owner and president, passed away about a year ago. His widow recently gave Kuras and Brown the opportunity to purchase SASI. The transaction was completed March 1.

“After he had passed away, we had continued to run the company,” Kuras said. “His wife, she was the owner, but she never had worked here.”

Kuras, who has worked at SASI for 21 years, previously served as director of sales and marketing. She is now president of the company. Brown previously served as director of compliance, and will remain in his role.

Under Kuras’ leadership, SASI is adding Health Savings Account administration and ERISA compliance.

“The SASI team considers themselves a family, and they enjoy their team synergy – helping clients reach their goals,” Brown said.
