The PGA of America and Kohler Co. have extended corporate hospitality sales for the 2015 PGA Championship to accommodate strong and continuing demand for on-course hospitality chalets.
The event will be held at Whistling Straits in Kohler from August 10 to 16, 2015. The hospitality chalets sold out earlier this month.
The PGA and Kohler initially offered about 30 chalets on the course, on holes 9, 17 and 18. The seven chalets overlooking the 18th hole sold out within a week of their offering in October.
More than 70 companies have made corporate hospitality commitments for the 2015 championship.
Additional chalet locations will be added at hole 15. Each holds 50 to 100 guests, and allows for a customized private environment with food, beverage and interior décor fitted to each corporate brand.
“We are extremely pleased with the response we’ve seen for our official 2015 PGA Championship hospitality offerings and thrilled to welcome back many past partners, as well as some great new corporate faces,” said Jason Mengel, 2015 PGA Championship director. “The unique relationship between the PGA of America and the Kohler Co. allows us this flexibility to react to the demand for participation in this major championship.”
The corporate hospitality chalets will be dispersed throughout the course, rather than clustered in a village near the clubhouse as they were during the 2010 PGA Championship at Whistling Straits.
“The 2015 PGA Championship marks the first time we are offering hospitality options on the course at Whistling Straits, which has created a lot of excitement,” said Jonathan Risseeuw, 2015 PGA Championship corporate hospitality sales manager. “The new 15th hole village is a perfect complement to our initial locations, and offers the same unique proximities to both Championship golf and Lake Michigan, truly highlighting the features of the Straits Course.”
There are also corporate hospitality opportunities available in the Gene Sarazen Suites at hole 16 and the Champions Club Tables along hole 1.
