KLH to expand in Germantown

Learn more about:

KLH Industries will double its manufacturing square footage in Germantown.
The company recently purchased a 15,000-square-foot building at N117 W18388 Fulton Dr., 120 yards from its existing facility on Fulton Drive.
KLH Industries Inc. is a privately held precision machine shop, specializing in manufacturing custom parts per print. Additional manufacturing floor space has been a reoccurring concern for chief executive officer and president Ken Heins.
"KLH was out of space three years ago, but the economy made it very easy to move sideways for awhile. I realized how important it was not to get stuck in that survival mentality, Heins said.
A second facility creates expansion room for all of KLH’s departments – EDM, CNC, Waterjet and Dimensional Inspection.
To maintain throughput of aerospace components, and other contractual dimensional inspection, both buildings will have temperature-controlled quality labs. The second building is being renovated to meet power, air, weight, and safety requirements, and is scheduled to be occupied and operational in mid-September.
