K-9 Fest raises $30,000 for police dogs

More than 1200 people attended the first ever Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals’ Vest a K-9 Fest held to raise awareness for needed funds to vest Wisconsin police dogs with bullet and stab-proof vests. The event raised more than $30,000.

There are more than 235 K-9 officers in the state of Wisconsin.
The event was held on the grounds of the Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals. All proceeds raised will go to support the MECA Wisconsin Police Canine Vest Foundation, Inc.
Milwaukee Brewers Cody Ransom, Mat Gamel and Martin Maldonado attended the event to meet and greet fans.
