Jones Dairy Farm has purchased the McCain Foods manufacturing facility in Fort Atkinson for $4 million.
The Fort-Atkinson-based breakfast sausage manufacturer purchased the plant at 801 Rockwell Ave. from Lisle, Ill.-based McCain Foods USA Inc., according to state real estate documents. Â The plant is located on 15 acres.
In April, McCain Foods announced it would close operations at its Fort Atkinson plant by December, eliminating 117 jobs.
McCain, a manufacture of frozen foods, has 10 sites across the country, including locations in Appleton, Plover and Rice Lake.
