Seven-time Grammy Award winner John Mayer will take the stage at Fiserv Forum on Tuesday, Aug. 6, the Milwaukee Bucks announced today.
The performance will be part of his 2019 World Tour, which kicks off in March in New Zealand and Australia before heading to Asia through April. The North American leg will launch in July in New York.
“We look forward to a night of slow dancing in a burning room on Aug. 6,” said Raj Saha,general manager at Fiserv Forum. “John Mayer will bring a new light to Fiserv Forum.”
The “Gravity” singer will perform solo during his tour, with no opening acts. The concert will feature two sets of music with songs from his entire career, including popular hits “Daughters,” “Waiting on the World to Change,” “Your Body Is a Wonderland” and “Love on the Weekend.”
Tickets for the show will go on sale to the general public on Feb. 1 on Fiserv Forum’s website. A presale for fans starts Jan. 29 on John Mayer’s website, and American Express Card holders can also purchase tickets early starting Jan. 29 through Jan. 31.
In between the international and North American legs of his solo tour, Mayer will tour the U.S. for the fourth consecutive year with Dead & Company, featuring Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart, along with Oteil Burbridge, Jeff Chimenti.
Fiserv Forum, which officially opened to the public on Aug. 26, hosted The Killers and the Violent Femmes on Sept. 4 for its grand opening show. So far, 39 concert, shows and special events have been announced for its first year. The upcoming lineup includes:
