Through the end of the year, the organization’s building at 201 S. Hawley Court in Milwaukee will remain open for an extra hour on weekdays, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will open from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. The Hunger Task Force is usually closed on Saturdays.

Staff and volunteers will be available to assist with donations, drop-offs and food drives throughout the holiday season.

“The people of Milwaukee are really quite generous at this time of year, and we want to make dropping off donations as easy and convenient as possible,” said Sherrie Tussler, executive director of Hunger task Force. “It takes less than ten minutes to get off the highway, drop off a donation and get back on, so we’re hoping to see a significant number of donations.”

All turkey donations will be matched “bird-for-bird” by Rexnord through the end of November, the Hunger Task Force said in a statement. For a list of preferred food donation items, visit the Hunger Task Force’s website.
