Milwaukee-based Hays Companies of Wisconsin has formed a property/casualty insurance unit specifically for the transportation industry.
Mark Zurawski will lead the unit. He has 23 years of experience in creating and servicing transportation related risks at Arthur J. Gallagher.
“It has become a necessity in today’s economy for the private fleet owner to find ways to offset increases in their operating costs,” Zurawski said. “Typically, this is accomplished by increasing back hauls, brokered loads and use of independent contractors to augment their fleet.
