Gundrum is finalist for Appeals Court spot

Learn more about:

Former New Berlin state Rep. Mark Gundrum is one of two finalists Gov. Scott Walker interviewed last month for an opening on the 2nd District Court of Appeals, according to the guv’s calendars.
There are five finalists in all for the post, according to the guv’s office, including: Mike Aprahamian, an attorney at Foley & Lardner in Milwaukee; Daniel Kelly, an attorney at Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren in Milwaukee; Daniel La Fave, an attorney at Whyte, Hirschboeck Dudek in Milwaukee; and Brett Ludwig, an attorney at Foley & Lardner in Milwaukee.
The guv’s office said it was waiting on the background checks to come back before filling the spot. The other finalist Walker interviewed last month was Kelly.
Gundrum was elected to the Assembly in 1998 and served two terms with the guv before Walker left his seat to take the Milwaukee County exec’s post. Gundrum was elected to a six-year term on the Waukesha County bench in April 2010.
