GOP gubernatorial candidates plan primary night celebrations

Republican gubernatorial candidates Scott Walker and Mark Neumann have finalized the details about the celebrations they will host the night of the primary election on Tuesday, Sept. 14.
Walker will host his celebration at American Serb Hall, 5101 W. Oklahoma Ave., in Milwaukee. Doors will open to the public at 7:30 p.m. and the event will begin at 8 p.m.
Neumann’s campaign has decided to host its primary night election celebration at the Milwaukee Marriott West, N1600 Corporate Court in Waukesha. According to a campaign spokeswoman, the doors will open at 7:30 p.m., and the public is “definitely” invited to attend.
Pre-registration is not required for either of the Republican candidates’ events.
Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, the Democratic candidate for governor, has not finalized plans for his primary night celebration, but campaign spokesman Phil Walczak said information would be available soon on the campaign’s website.
