American Banker, a financial services publication, has ranked Milwaukee business law firm Godfrey & Kahn S.C. as the “Top Lead Legal Advisor” in Wisconsin.
The recognition is based on the number of domestic bank and thrift merger transactions reported in the first six months of the year. Firms who were ranked served as primary legal advisors for the deals.
Godfrey & Kahn is based in Milwaukee and has offices in Waukesha, Madison, Appleton, Green Bay and Washington, DC. The banking and financial institutions practice group, which advises on transactional, corporate and regulatory issues for the financial services industry, includes eight attorneys.
This is the third ranking the firm has received from American Banker in recent years.
