Foundations Bank adds Blau to leadership team

John Blau has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president and chief credit officer at Pewaukee-based Foundations Bank.

Blau will report directly to John Hazod, interim president of the bank.

In his role, Blau will lead the bank’s credit risk management and analysis functions. As part of his responsibilities, Blau will serve as a member of the Bank’s Loan, Risk Management and Asset/Liability Management Committees.

“We are very pleased to welcome John to Foundations Bank,” Hazod said. “He brings a wealth of hands-on credit and regulatory experience, and his insight and leadership will further help us build upon our strong credit risk management policies.”

Blau has more than 16 years of commercial credit experience. He joins Foundations Bank from Baker Tilly, where he was a financial institution consultant. Prior to Baker Tilly, Blau was an examiner with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Earlier in his career, he held credit officer positions at Wells Fargo Business Credit, GE Capital and M&I Bank.

Foundations Bank is a member of Generations Bancorp Inc. and an independent community bank located in Pewaukee with total assets of $127 million.
