Margaret Jaberg has announced she will step down from her vice president position at BMO Harris Bank, formerly M&I, to become the newest chief executive officer of the Milwaukee Community Sailing Center. Jaberg is an avid sailor, and a member of the Milwaukee Community Sailing Center board of directors.
She has an extensive 25 year history in management positions that will help in the new leadership role.
“Jaberg’s commitment to excellence, leadership experience and love of sailing will lead her to a successful career as our first Chief Executive Officer,” said Peter Rieck, executive director of MCSC.
Jaberg most recently managed a commercial real estate portfolio for M&I Commercial Real Estate after working in their Institutional Real Estate Group. She came to M&I from Firstar, where she was a litigation paralegal in the company’s law department. Earlier in her career, Jaberg served as a purchasing agent and multi-unit manager at Ed Paul Corporation, known as Wong’s Wok.
In addition to Jaberg’s professional experience she also served as president of the Brown Deer Foundation. She set public policy as the former president of the Village of Brown Deer, and encouraged collaborative partnerships as the former president of the North Shore Fire Department and former chair of the Intergovernmental Cooperation Council of Milwaukee County.
