The former Jewel-Osco store building at 925 Highway 164 in Waukesha will be sold in an online auction in June.
The 61,910-square-foot building was built by Menomonee Falls-based Continental Properties Company Inc. in 1999 on a 7.5-acre lot. The Jewel-Osco store in the building closed in 2007. It was replaced by a Sentry store, which closed in 2008. The building has been vacant ever since.
Jewel Food Stores Inc. still has a lease for the building that expires in 2019.
“Jewel vacated the property years ago, however they have continued to stay current on rent,” the listing states at www.auction.com.
The building will be sold in an auction on the web site that will be held from June 22-24. The starting bid will be $1.25 million. The bid deposit amount is $25,000.
