What does your daily or weekly fitness regime consist of?
"Weight training MWF, aerobics T,TH, SAT usually boxing, nordic trac or treadmill."
Other than the obvious health benefits, how has being fit improved your life?
"I am more alert and as a trial lawyer, my stamina is critical when in court and I need to recover quickly and be "on my game". I feel better about myself and feel others react positively and trust someone who has the discipline to keep themselves in shape. I rarely get sick. I can keep up with my 6 kids."
How does personal fitness affect your work life?
"I can work longer and stay alert longer at work. My mental outlook seems to be more positive. I am rarely sick and therefore rarely need a sick day."
Do you have a corporate health or wellness initiative?
"No."
How does fitness or wellness affect your overall organization?
"For all of the reasons stated in #3, I believe that people are more alert and happier. Little fatigue when one is in good health."
What advice do you have for other executives interested in starting either a personal fitness plan or corporate wellness initiative?
"One must have a goal and a plan. Without a plan failure is inevitable and it is a cycle of continued disappointment and declining self esteem."
