ETE buys former Walmart building near Brown Deer Road for $1.65 million

ETE Reman Inc. recently purchased the former Walmart building at 8700 N. Servite Dr., just off of Brown Deer Road and North 76th Street, for $1.65 million, according to state records.

The 140,000-square-foot building was built in 2001 and has an assessed value of $2.4 million, according to city records.

The Walmart store closed in 2012. Walmart opened a new supercenter store in Timmerman Plaza at 10316-50 W. Silver Spring Dr., Milwaukee, and recently announced plans to build a new supercenter store in the former Lowe’s store at 6300 W. Brown Deer Road in Brown Deer.

ETE, a manufacturing of transmissions and transfer cases for cars and trucks, is currently located at 8155 N. 76th St. in Milwaukee. The company plans to move its operations, and 300 employees, to the former Walmart building on Servite Drive.
