Donate shoes to ‘Share-A-Pair’

Organizations:

Stan’s Fit For Your Feet has launched its eighth annual “Share-A-Pair” Shoe Drive to collect new and gently used shoes for homeless populations both in southeastern Wisconsin and around the world.

With the drive, Stan’s Fit For Your Feet and New Balance stores owned by Stan’s will host collection bins at five area locations:

  • Stan’s Brookfield store at The Plaza at 17155 W. Bluemound Road.
  • Stan’s Glendale store at 505 W. Silver Spring Dr.
  • Stan’s Greenfield store in the Layton Plaza at 7405 W. Layton Ave.
  • New Balance’s Brookfield store at 17155 W. Bluemound Road, Suite A.
  • New Balance’s Greenfield store at 7411 W. Layton Ave.

Donors can drop shoes off Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Monday, March 31.

“Because of this year’s unusually rough winter, we are particularly interested in collecting sturdy boots and shoes that can help protect the feet of Milwaukee’s homeless and needy,” said Jim Sajdak, owner of Stan’s Fit For Your Feet. “However, we will graciously accept new and gently used footwear for all seasons and in all styles and sizes as part of our shoe drive.”

Shoes will be distributed to homeless residents at Milwaukee’s Repairers of the Breach homeless day shelter and Father Gene’s Help Center in West Allis. Stan’s will also donate shoes to Soles4Souls, a global nonprofit that gives shoes to those in need.

All shoe donors will receive a $10 Stan’s Fit For Your Feet gift card to use toward footwear purchases at any Stan’s Fit For Your Feet or New Balance Milwaukee store in March.
