Diversified Insurance changes name, offers grants

Learn more about:

Brookfield-based Diversified Insurance Services has changed its name to Diversified Insurance Solutions.

The full-service insurance brokerage changed the name after client, employee and prospect feedback indicated a preference for the more positive term “solutions.”

The company also announced it has launched a $30,000 Spark Giveback program to offer funding options to nonprofits that focus on solving local problems.

Diversified is taking grant applications for the Spark program from nonprofit organizations in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Washington and Ozaukee counties until April 30, 2014 at www.diversifiedSPARK.com.

The firm is searching for programs that use innovation to address community needs or problems. Six nonprofits will receive $5,000 to move their programs forward in a specific way.

“As a company, we’re extremely community minded so we wanted to celebrate our anniversary in a way that has an impact beyond our doors,” said James McCormack, founder and chairman. “We hope our program will spark change and positive results in the community. We’d also like it to have a ripple effect so other small and medium-sized businesses are encouraged to get involved in the community and give back in any way they can. It doesn’t have to be a $1 million donation to make a difference.”
