Other than the obvious health benefits, how has being fit improved your life?

Greatly helps in mental and psychological health. Stress reliever. Endorphin producer. Helps in wanting to eat healthier. Creates a better attitude toward personal and business relationships. Promotes easier relaxation in evenings and throughout the day.

How does personal fitness affect your work life?

Clearer and sharper mind in handling both day-to-day tasks as well as those that require more mental ‘work’ or thought.  Much easier to work with others, handle stress and be more efficient.

Do you have a corporate health or wellness initiative?

No

What health/wellness organizations do you contract with, if any?

none

How does fitness or wellness affect your overall organization?

Less absenteeism, and better work attitudes all the way around.

What advice do you have for other executives interested in starting either a personal fitness plan or corporate wellness initiative?

As an executive running a small business, I find the hardest thing of all is to step away from work and go to the gym, but once it’s done once you pull yourself away, regardless of all the fires that need to be put out and the people and items that require your attention, you’ll be so much better at taking care of those issues with a different outlook, attitute, creativity and efficiency than had you stayed at it ’till sundown or beyond.
