Corix to move from Third Ward to Wauwatosa

Corix Utilities/Infrastructure Inc. will move its headquarters from the Warehouse #1 building at 126 N. Jefferson St., Milwaukee, to a building at 11020 W. Plank Ct. Wauwatosa.

The Wauwatosa building is owned by Malvern, Pa.-based Liberty Property Trust.

Corix is growing. The company has about 40 employees in 8,000 square feet of space in the Third Ward. The company will have 14,800 square feet of space in Wauwatosa, where it plans to add another 20 employees.

The lease was brokered by Joe Powers and Jack Jacobson of NAI MLG Commercial, who represented Corix and Tim Janusz of NAI MLG Commercial, who represented Liberty Property Trust.

Corix’s parent company is located in Vancouver. Executives with the parent company suggested that Corix relocate to California or Chicago, but vice president and chief operating officer Kevin Meagher said he convinced them to keep it in the Milwaukee area.
