Clarke Square Terrace complete

A grand opening celebration will be held Thursday for Clarke Square Terrace, a four-story, 60-unit housing facility for low to moderate income seniors. Clarke Square Terrace was developed by SunStarr Real Estate Group in conjunction with ANEW Health Care Services. Located on a former brownfield site at 1740 W. Pierce St. on the south side of Milwaukee, the facility provides affordable, independent and assisted living options. The property was vacant for 50 years prior to this development. About 24 employees will work at the facility. The Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) provided $6.7 million in low income tax credits for the project.
